Kunos Simulazioni is pleased to announce a new official license partnership with BMW AG.

Kunos Simulazioni is very proud to announce a new licensing agreement with one of the most prestigious Car Manufacturers, BMW AG. This license will allow the development team to reproduce some of the most desirable BMW production models in Assetto Corsa, including several racing cars. The BMW AG license has been one of the first that we tried to obtain, because their cars have exemplary balance and handling, and we think that they are perfect vehicles to demonstrate the quality of our new simulation technology.

Kunos Simulazioni development team commented:

“Kunos Simulazioni is proud to introduce the first model of the BMW collection for Assetto Corsa, the BMW 1 Series M Coupé, one of the most highly rated of BMW’s recent production cars: The traditional straight six cylinder engine, is enhanced by two turbocompressors and outputs 340 bhp, with 450Nm of torque that remains constant from 1500rpm up to 4500rpm. Together with a small, lightweight and agile body propped up by big 19 inches wheels and fat tyres, delivers outstanding performance. With just 4.9 seconds 0-100km/h time, and an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h, this car is no slouch. Most importantly, the combination of all of the above, results in an extremely fun car to drive, whether you are seeking the best lap-time or just trying to take every single turn sideways.

Game information
Assetto Corsa is a new DirectX 11 based racing game for Windows, expected to be released in 2012. Assetto Corsa is being designed to provide a very realistic driving experience, with single player and multiplayer options, officially licensed cars and tracks developed using Laser scan technology, and the highest level of accuracy possible in reproducing real world motor racing environments. Also, Assetto Corsa will allow for considerable customisation and modification, in order to satisfy the expectations of professional imracers, gamers who prefer to approach the driving experience more progressively, and hobbyists who just like to collect lots of cars and tracks.

Please hit the thumbs for resize to
Kunos Simulazioni is pleased to announce a new officially licensed car - the Lotus Type 49

Kunos Simulazioni is very proud to announce a new car for their forth coming simulation: Assetto Corsa, our first historic Formula One car, the Lotus Type 49, a real legend of motorsport. As described in Michael Oliver’s book, “Lotus 49 – The story of a legend” the Lotus 49 embodies Colin Chapman's original philosophy of simplicity and lightness in an elegant form. In a single leap the Lotus 49 moved Formula One technology several notches up the evolutionary scale, and can now be seen as a pivot about which F1 technology turned and refocused. Not only was the 49 a state of the art design, but it would be driven through several tumultuous seasons by some of the world's greatest drivers including Jim Clark, Graham Hill, Jochen Rindt and Emerson Fittipaldi.

Kunos Simulazioni development team commented:
"We consider it a privilege and a challenge to have a chance to reproduce one of history’s most iconic cars: The Lotus 49 represents a pinnacle in racing simulation, thanks to the combination between history, technology, lightness, power and beauty. With its shape and livery, the Lotus Type 49 is the ultimate representation of a classic age in Formula One racing, just before technology changed as aerodynamics came to the fore, and sponsorship and big business changed the sport forever. We wish to thank Clive Chapman and everyone at Classic Team Lotus for the opportunity and support they are giving us by allowing our team to recreate this kind of beauty and power, to the best of our ability. The Lotus Type 49 puts the physics engine of Assetto Corsa under great stress. Combining low grip vintage tyres with a nimble, lightweight chassis and a peaky powerful engine presents the perfect disaster scenario for any simracing physics engine. At KUNOS Simulazioni we believe that an F1 car of any age is a state of the art racing car, and as such it shouldn’t try to kill you just by exiting the pitlane. The Lotus 49 may be hard to drive to the limits when exploring its full potential, but it should also have exceptional handling, and offer confidence and grip when driven with authority and proper technique. As a result of official licensing, Classic Team Lotus is making real life data and engineering documents available to us, and so far all of our work and fine tuning of our new physics engine confirms our belief of how an iconic Formula 1 Car should handle. At the same time, we are humbled and amazed by the knowledge and ingenuity of the engineers and designers at Classic Team Lotus."

At the same time, we are humbled and amazed by the knowledge and ingenuity of the engineers and designers at Classic Team Lotus." The Lotus Type 49 has been modelled in every small detail, with particular attention to its visual and dynamic proprieties. The aim is to reproduce the Lotus 49’s impressive handling agility and power with maximum accuracy. Rang 2 belegte der Ostsee Racing-Audi vor dem Jägermeister-Alpina des GT-Eins.de-Racing Teams, das damit das bislang beste Saisonresultat einfuhr.
Kunos Simulazioni is pleased to announce a new officially licensed car - the Tatuus FA01

Kunos Simulazioni is pleased to announce a new officially licensed car for our upcoming racing simulation, Assetto Corsa, the Tatuus FA01. Assetto Corsa features different kind of cars, including open wheels single-seaters . We are pleased to introduce the Tatuus FA01, which competes in the Italian based championship: ACI CSAI Formula Abarth. Following the tradition of Kunos Simulazioni relating to open-wheeled cars, the Tatuus FA01 has been reproduced in cooperation with Tatuus racing engineers and respecting the real technical specifications, in order to reproduce its dynamic behaviour with as much accuracy as possible. The simulation is tested and used by CSAI (the Italian Motorsport Federation) for their training sessions at Vallelunga racing track, where the Kunos development team can access data, videos and direct feedback from the real drivers. This allows the development team to refine dynamic modelling of this single seater, with a constant, close relationship between software developers, vehicle manufacturers and race instructors from the Federal Racing School, in order to guarantee maximum fidelity from simulator to the real world counterpart.

Kunos Simulazioni dynamic modeler, Aristotelis Vasilakos commented:
"From a driver’s point of view, this car is a delight to drive. It has plenty of both mechanical and aero grip and can carry incredible amounts of speed into turns. It is very stable under braking and acceleration and you can safely drive it around any circuit without problems, making it the perfect single seater for youngsters starting out in racing. Still, it is a very sensitive racing car and the more you push to find the limits the more difficult it becomes to find lap time. The driver ends up braking very late into every curve, turning in very fast and stepping on the gas pedal as soon as possible. When you reach this kind of limit, then you're really on the edge, and being so fast in any corner can make the car reactions tricky to handle, so try to not upset it as it might turn around and bite you. We think this is the perfect car to start learning the secrets of car setup and racing against others. Do not expect to be able to drift everywhere around the circuit with this car, but do expect to be able to carry out brisk manoeuvres while surrounded by your opponents without fear of losing control of the car."

Tatuus FA01 will be included as officially licensed content in Assetto Corsa, expected to be released within 2012.

Neue Seite 2

Game information
Assetto Corsa is a new DirectX 11 based racing game for Windows, expected to be released in 2012.

Zusammenfassung Round #03 GT-Eins LSS in Zandvoort

March 20th, 2012
Kunos Simulazioni is pleased to announce a new officially licensed track for our upcoming racing simulation, Assetto Corsa, the Circuit of Silverstone. Following the announcement of the legendary circuits of Imola and Monza for Assetto Corsa, Kunos Simulazioni is pleased to announce that another important licensing agreement has been reached: Assetto Corsa welcomes one of the most iconic tracks in motorsport history: Silverstone Circuit. Some of the most notable pages of motorsport have been written on this circuit, its characteristic and challenging layout will amplify the driving experience of Assetto Corsa, and the glamour and history of this circuit will give players and racing enthusiasts huge immersion in the experience of Silverstone. As with the other circuits included in Assetto Corsa, Silverstone will be reproduced using Laserscan technology. This will reproduce each curb, each bump, and detail the real world circuit in as close a way as possible. This will give players a realistic feel to the circuit, and allow them to discover every inch of the facility in outstanding detail. The development team is also pleased to announce that there will be an historic reproduction of the 1960's era version of the track included, allowing for wistful nostalgia of the original airfield circuit. This reproduction will be made in partnership with Silverstone and will be based on the original layout using detail gathered from hundreds of pictures and video collected from that amazing era. It is a real honour for Kunos Simulazioni to reproduce the circuit of Silverstone in Assetto Corsa. This new licensing agreement is a result of co-operation with Silverstone Ltd and also due to all the people who support software companies by purchasing original products. Their support and enthusiasm for the Assetto Corsa project has motivated the development team to make every effort in bringing the true splendour of this beautiful circuit to its racing simulation game.

Silverstone Circuit will be included as official licensed content in Assetto Corsa, expected to be released within 2012.
